NC Strongest Man & Woman is back and is a 2020 Official Strongman Games Qualifier! This contest continues to be one of the most exciting Strongman and Strongwoman contests in the country.

Events

Circus Dumbbell Ladder

  • Event Details
  • Weights

(60 second time limit)

Athlete must press each dumbbell in order from lightest to heaviest. Athlete must receive a 'Good lift or Down!' command for the rep to count and to be allowed to proceed to the next dumbbell. Split times will be taken for each dumbbell. Event is scored by most dumbbells lifted and then fastest time if ties on # of dumbbells.

Yoke + Sandbag Medley

(60 second time limit)


Athlete must carry a yoke 50ft/15.25m and cross a marked line. Only the front of the yoke is required to cross the line. The athlete will then run back 50ft/12.25m to pick up the sandbag and carry it back and load it over the yoke. Time will be taken when sandbag touches the ground after successful load over yoke. Unlimited drops are allowed and if the sandbag is not loaded within the time limit, a total distance will be given. Event is scored by fastest time if ties on distance. 

A time or distance penalty may be given at the judge's discretion if the athlete slides the yoke with intended purpose or rolls the sandbag.

Car Deadlift

  • Event Details

(60 second time limit)


Athlete must deadlift a car for as many reps as possible within the time limit. The judge will give a 'Good lift or Down!" command after each successful rep. An 'Up!' command will be given before the next rep can begin. Event will be scored by total reps completed and ties will be possible. 

Athlete will be allowed to strap in before the clock starts. No one is allowed to help the athlete strap in.

Deadlift frame will be with a bar in front and not side handle.

Equipment Not Allowed: Tacky, Spray adhesives, Tack Towel, baby oil or other obvious sliding aid for the thighs.

Weigh-in / Check-in is mandatory for all competitors. We will have a curtained off area for privacy and the scale will be set to kilos (kg) and placed directly on concrete floor. (weigh ins are at the venue)
